Want someone else to train your dog?

We all know that dog training is a long process that requires consistency & patience, and how many of us have time to truly put the work in needed to tackle those bad habits? (spoiler alert - noone!)

So why not get someone with the experience, knowledge and qualifications in to do some of the leg work for you?

Well you’re in the right place!

Everybody wants a well behaved & well mannered dog.

And with so many of us leading busy lives, it can tricky to find the time to work on those problem issues.

So wouldn’t it be helpful if you could get some expert advice and training done for you the right way?

So what is day training?

Day training involves me coming to train your dog. These are usually hour long sessions, and we have either 2 or 3 a week depending on the training need + a handover session with you. It’s most suitable for problems such as; lead pulling, recall, puppy training & socialisation, jumping up, settle work & general obedience.

Think of it as a ‘landscape gardener’. If you want a lovely garden to spend time in, you hire a landscaper and they create a lovely space, choose suitable plants, plant and tend to them and then give you the skills to maintain their work. You might still need to mow the lawn and a few others bits of maintenance after, but the leg work is done and you can always rehire them occasionally to pick out any weeds!

How does it work?

Day training includes the following as standard, but depending on your dog’s issues, the length and frequency of the programme will need to be discussed prior to booking.

  • Initial one hour session to understand your goals.

  • Information gathering from you prior to our session.

  • Transfer session weekly to provide you with simple maintenance activites.

  • Weekly videos & reports of the training process

  • Direct e-mail support to answer any of your burning questions during our time together

  • Information and guidance from a qualified, ethical and knowledgable professional

  • Access to our private facebook group to meet others in a similar boat and share ideas and experiences

  • Peace of mind knowing that you’ve got all the help you need to get you off on the right track.

This is for you if…

  • You are busy and want someone to do the majority of the work for you.

  • You want 1-1 support for training your dog

  • You want someone who can build a bond with your dog whilst training.

  • You want to work with someone who is up to scratch, knowledgeable and experienced and also a qualified behaviourist and trainer, who truly cares about your dog.

  • You’re confused by all the conflicting advice on the internet, or given to you by others

Heather was amazing at helping us understand and train our new pup. She was very informative and obviously has a passion for her job as she had an encyclopaedic knowledge of her field and applied it to our dog to get the best results. By the end of our 6 lessons we went from an untrained nightmare of a puppy to an obedient pet who could sit, stay, leave, wait, heel and was getting the hang of fetch. Can’t recommend Taylor’s Dogs enough.
